How to use
----------

Download the ZIP update to a PC, double-click and expand it to an empty
subdirectory, then double-click on the file MOMIFTP. This is a utility that
transfer MOMI files/software from the PC to the NonStop System using FTP (or
SFTP). On the first screen specify the Nonstop IP address, logon ID, password
and destination directory. Press Connect and then follow the GUI prompts to
transfer server object.


MOMIFTP automatically preserves the current server object then performs the
following actions:

	BWMOMIx3 - delete
	BWMOMIx2 - rename to BWMOMIx3
	BWMOMIx1 - rename to BWMOMIx2
	BWMOMIx  - rename to BWMOMIx1
	BWMOMIx  - transfers from PC to Nonstop


After the updated object is in place, restart the MOMI server with the TACL
obey file OBYMOMI. Start a MOMI PC Client, connect to the Nonstop System then
goto the screen Files / Enscribe / Volume. Push Request. Stop the PC Client.
From a TACL check the subvolume where the MOMI server is installed and a
ZZSAnnnn file should appear (rather quickly).

After the ABEND file is obtained, restore the previous MOMI server by
Stop $MOMI, purge BWMOMIx, rename BWMOMIx1 to BWMOMIx the restart the server.



Changes in this update
----------------------

- This is a special version of the server that will ABEND when the PC Client
  on the screen Files /  Enscribe / Volume pushes Request.

  It was determined tha the Guardian System procedure CONFIG_GETINFO_BYNAME_
  incorrectly reports a disk path in struct scsi^device^info^def as configured
  but SCF reports as not configured. The MOMI utility procedure
  ut_info_virtual_disk was enhanced to obtain the same basic information via
  SPI STATUS DISK in the struct ZSTO^DDL^DISK^STATUS^DEF and uses it to
  overwrite the incorrect field CONFIGURED.

  This version should not be used for any longer than generating the ABEND,
  packing it, and sending to BlackWood.


How to update
-------------

Download the ZIP file to your PC, right-click on it and select Extract All...
 (i.e. using the Windows built-in extractor) and follow the prompts.
 Double-click on MOMIFTP.exe to launch the transfer utility or manually
 transfer the files as described below.


If using MOMIFTP ->

   1) in the extracted file double-click on MOMIFTP, follow the on-screen
      instructions and leave the default of "Update Installation". This utility
      is the same one used in our full release package but contains just the
      updated files and expects an installation is already present. MOMIFTP
      transfers files in the correct manner (i.e. ASCII or binary), set file
      code, and performs file rename of an existing file automatically (i.e. 2
      for oldest, 1 for next oldest). You can run MOMIFTP while $MOMI is
      operating on your NonStop System.

   2) continue with step 5 below.


If using another file transfer method, follow the steps below but you need only
 transfer the MOMI suitable for your platform ->

   1) On the NonStop System, volume to the location where the MOMI server is
      installed.

   2) To prepare to receive the new object file, the existing file needs to be
      renamed.  The rename convention we use places a number at the end of the
      file name and the highest number is the oldest.  Purge the oldest BWMOMI?
      object and rename the others:

         TNS/X    purge  bwmomix3
                  rename bwmomix2,bwmomix3
                  rename bwmomix1,bwmomix2
                  rename bwmomix ,bwmomix1


   3) Using your favorite file transfer utility copy the needed files as shown
       below from your PC to the NonStop System in the manner indicated:

         - BINARY the BWMOMIx

   4) On the NonStop System, alter the file code:

         fup alter bwmomix,code 500

   5) restart MOMI with the TACL obey file:

         obey obymomi
